Welcome to TRANSFORMATION CENTRE (Mount Zion Church, Lisburn). As a church, we are a community of sincere believers who seek to meet for fellowship and worship. It is our purpose to be real and honest about our faith. Transformation Centre has a growing congregation built on Biblical values and principles of simple and honest Christianity. We hope the church can be a blessing to you, as you browse this site.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What’s the Leadership Structure?

The church is led by a team of elders and deacons. The role of the elders is to look after the spiritual life of everyone in the church and to teach the Bible. They do this with a serving and compassionate heart. The deacons look after the administrative side of the ministry, offering spiritual insight into the practical life of the church. The full time pastor is very much an integral part of the elders’ team.

2. What denomination is Transformation Centre?

Transformation Centre is part of the Free Methodist Church Family in Europe. We hold to Wesleyan theology but above all to a Biblical and Orthodox heritage.

3. What’s the vision of Transformation Centre?

Our purpose is to introduce everyone, everywhere to the transforming power of God. We do this by caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual health of all people in our community and beyond.

4. What role does Prayer have for Transformation Centre?

We believe a church is led from the prayer room not the board room. We emphasise and encourage a life of personal prayer but also corporate prayer. To us prayer is as vital as breathing.

5. How can I get involved?

First of all, we want to invite everyone, everywhere to know Jesus as their Lord and personal Saviour. As you come to this saving faith we want to encourage and equip you to serve God according to your passion and gifts. Have a look at out Connect page and see if there is anything that matches your passion. We are also looking to see people starting new things and serving God in new ways. Go to the Volunteer page, fill in the form and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

What to Expect

We know visiting a new church for the first time can be a bit overwhelming. Here at Transformation Centre, we have intentionally built a culture that is casual and friendly, where you can truly be yourself. We are a very informal and family friendly church. The music combines both familiar and not so familiar songs, led from the front by a team of musicians. The preaching is dynamic and conversational.

Get Connected

The best way to connect with us is to become part of the various ministries that take place in the church, getting to know the people, joining in our fellowship lunches and informal worship times. We would love the chance to know you better over a cup of coffee or tea.
